Settling in
So, the new place is awesome and wonderful and all, but in the back of my mind, I still have this nagging sense of, 'this is a very nice hotel - when am I going home'?

I'm really sad I didn't get to see *you* while you were here.

You're in transition right now. It's a long transition involving a lot of classes, but it's still a state of transition. Home is where you wind up *after* this.

Theoretically, I'm trying to settle. It's just... weird at the moment.

Home is where your stuff is (when it's not in storage or in transit).

The interesting exercise is figuring out which part of all your shit is actually your stuff. ;-)

That will wear off. (How many mortgage payments have you made? Coming home there from work a few more times will help, too.)

Nevertheless, I'm glad it's "very nice". That speaks volumes, and it will mean all them more once it is "yours". :-)
